That's all there is to it, too bad it isn't easy. Opportunity for change is through a door called maintenance, open it and proceed. You perform a certain amount of maintenance on your body everyday so that is where you can start to make little changes. Think of them as first steps down a long and productive road.
Wash your face a little better, brush your teeth a little longer, cut your hair a little shorter, your mind will begin to get a new message.
Drink water instead of pop, eat a salad everyday, cut down on the smoking, your mind will get the message.
You start telling your mind through actions and deeds that it is important to take care of your body. As you get fit and lose weight, your mind will want in on the action and it will start to change also.
That's all there is to it.
