Here is an alarm clock that rolls off the table and hides after you hit the snooze button.
When it goes off again you have to get up and look for it before you can turn it off. It hides in a different spot everyday. It comes to us by way of MIT.
The whole idea of a snooze button sort of emulates human behavior, doesn't it? I mean we do something that we would like to quit, and an alarm goes off to remind us of this but we just hit some mental snooze button and keep on going.
We have a terrible time breaking bad habits because of that snooze button. Just hearing that alarm that tells us to stop isn't enough. The whole system that we have in place doesn't work. That's why you have to replace bad habits with good habits. You have to do something instead of what you use to do. Just stopping doesn't work, you have to move on to something else or you will be right back where you don't want to be.
Want change? Don't hit the snooze button.
