If you're a blogger and you want traffic at your site here is a tip.

The 'Next Blog' button at Blogger.com works like this; it takes you to a recently updated blog. That's why you will often get brand new ones with little or no content if you click through it a couple of times.

I'm not 100% sure but I think traffic is highest during the workday. All those people in their cubicles across North America are sitting in front of their computers and some of them check out blogs sometime during the day.

Now put those 2 observations together and you know that to get random traffic at your blog you need to post in the morning (primetime.) But 1 time is not enough, you will only get 5 or 6 hits if you post once.

Throw that observation into the mix and you know that if you post multiple times in the morning you will get a lot of random hits.

So here is the plan. Write 12 cogent pieces with great opening sentences every day and post them about 15 minutes apart all morning long.

You'll get 50 hits!

Of course it is all pointless if none of those people ever come back so make sure your writing is great and that you have something to say. Simple, huh?

One more thing, I had trouble getting one post into Blogger this morning, their servers seemed to be stumbling. Oh well!
