crackpot theory #3

People who complain all of the time about everything aren't anymore unhappy than people who don't complain at all.

I can't even begin to explain this one, it is simply my observation. All the whiners and complainers that I have had the pleasure to know through the years are just as happy as all the positive thinking people I have known.

I can't understand it at all. I will leave it to the king to explain this one to me.

I see no gain in whining and complaining but perhaps I am wrong there. Must be something that people get out of it. Must serve some purpose.

Of course most whiners seem to be able to turn it off and on like they have a switch in their pocket. Such a switch would be a really handy if you could apply it to other things.

"Double bacon cheese burger, fries and a coke. Giant size that please."

Flip the switch.

"Oh wait a minute. I think I would like a salad instead, with water. Thanks!"

"I've got to buy this new gadget! The price is down to $399."

Flip the switch.

"Hmmm. $399. For what! That? It will end up in the closet in 2 months. I'm going to keep my money. Might really need it someday."

Yes, I've got to have one of those switches. I'll have to think about it.
